Are you falling for your hook-up?
Hook-up culture in today’s life is a norm, whether you are here for it or not, the best is to understand and accept that it is a part of today’s dating universe.
If you want to take the route of a hook-up, then let’s make sure that you are not the kind of person that gets attached quickly.
If you are hooking-up to avoid the pain of a break-up, then a possibility is that you would connect emotionally and another person may not respond in the same way.
Your conversations after good sex with your hook-up need not be intense; it can be a casual one about the experience, with some fun elements to it.
If you don’t want to fall in for your hook-up and keep it casual, here are some points:
Avoid a Routine: If you fall into a regular routine of texting, talking over the phone and fixed day or time of the meeting, this will make you miss something eventually, and that would lead to developing feelings.
Be clear and share: Be clear in the first instinct and share that you’re only interested in casual sex and have no desire to be in a relationship. The more transparent you are about what you’re looking for, the easier it will be for both of you. Vocalize about your limitations in your partnership with your hook-up.
Keep it simple: If you want someone as a hook-up, you don’t need to spend a lot of time with him/her. Going on too many dates confuses the status of your arrangement and may lead to falling in for your hook-up.
Pillow talk: Pillow talk after good sex need not be intense conversations, it’s just about sex & laughter. It is important, you do not over-share or let them in on private things that you value.
There is no ground rule that you can not fall in love with your hook-up or a casual date. The only thing you need to be very sure about is that both the partners share the same idea about being with each other.
