Some of the most critical work we do in life begins quietly, with a question we carry alone for too long.
My name is Dr. Karanvir Singh. I am a psychotherapist in Vancouver, organizational psychologist, and researcher with over twelve years of experience supporting people through pain, uncertainty, transformation, and renewal. My work is not simply about symptoms or diagnoses; it is about people and the complexity of what it means to live, connect, and try to make sense of ourselves in an often unkind world.
My journey into this profession began not in textbooks but in witnessing human resilience in workplaces, communities, and across cultures. With a PhD in Organizational Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, I have worked in executive boardrooms and trauma therapy rooms, understanding both the subtle tensions that shape our inner world and the systemic forces that challenge our sense of belonging. These two worlds have never been separate for me. In fact, the more I listened, the clearer it became. The issues we carry, anxiety, shame, relationship breakdowns, identity confusion, substance use, or the quiet ache of not feeling good enough, are deeply interconnected, and they deserve more than surface-level solutions.
Through my practice, I continue to offer compassionate and research-informed psychotherapy in Vancouver, helping individuals navigate life with clarity, connection, and purpose.
My clinical work is grounded in the belief that people are not problems to be solved. We are stories unfolding, shaped by experiences we did not always choose but can begin to understand, hold, and transform. I work closely with individuals navigating anxiety and depression, couples facing disconnection or crisis, youth struggling to find their place, and those wrestling with identity, self-worth, or addiction. I offer an affirming, non-judgmental space to 2SLGBTQIA+ clients and neurodivergent individuals who have often felt invisible in traditional therapeutic spaces. I know what it means to live on the edges of expectation, and I am committed to helping others come home to themselves.
My therapeutic approach is shaped by a deep respect for both science and humanity. I integrate cognitive behavioural therapy to help shift entrenched thought patterns, emotionally focused therapy to deepen connections in relationships, motivational interviewing to support change readiness, and trauma-informed relational work to rebuild safety in the body and mind. I also draw from narrative, somatic, and strengths-based frameworks that allow space for your story to be heard with care and complexity.
Alongside my clinical practice, I remain an active researcher, keynote speaker, and author. My published work includes peer-reviewed studies and thought leadership on workplace mental health, psychological safety, and the inclusion of neurodivergent individuals, particularly in environments that were never built with them in mind. My writing and public speaking are grounded in advocacy, not just information, because systems, like people, need to change in order to heal.
But none of this would matter if therapy didn’t feel real. My clients often tell me that I am someone who listens deeply, sees the parts of them that have long gone unseen, and brings both compassion and clarity to the room. Therapy with me is a space where you can speak truths you’ve never said aloud, ask questions you’ve been afraid to ask, and explore not just how to survive but how to live with more choice, courage, and connection.
