ADHD & Neurodivergent Support

Understand how your brain works and build strategies that work with you, not against you.

ADHD and neurodivergence can affect far more than attention. They can influence emotional regulation, relationships, motivation, organization, time awareness, sensory experiences, self esteem, and the way you respond to everyday demands.
You may have spent years being told that you need to try harder, be more organized, calm down, or stop overthinking. Counselling can offer a different starting point. We begin by understanding how you function and then build practical strategies around your actual needs.

You May Recognize Some of These Experiences

It Is Not Only About Productivity

Many adults seek ADHD support because they want to become more productive. Productivity may be part of the work, but neurodivergence also affects identity, emotions, relationships, confidence, and the way you experience yourself.
The goal is not to turn you into someone else. It is to understand what helps you function well, reduce unnecessary struggle, and develop systems that are realistic for your brain and your life.

What We Can Work On

Executive Functioning
Build practical approaches for planning, starting tasks, prioritizing, time awareness, organization, and follow through.
Emotional Regulation
Understand why emotions can rise quickly and develop ways to recognize and respond to activation earlier.
Relationships
Explore communication differences, misunderstandings, rejection sensitivity, household responsibilities, and recurring relationship patterns.
Self Esteem and Identity
Challenge years of negative messages about being lazy, difficult, too much, or not trying hard enough.
Stress and Overwhelm
Create ways to manage competing demands without relying only on urgency, pressure, or last minute effort.
Neurodivergent Relationships
Help individuals and couples understand differences in communication, sensory needs, routines, emotional processing, and connection.

A Practical and Individualized Approach

There is no single strategy that works for every person with ADHD or other neurodivergent experiences. We look at what you have already tried, what gets in the way, and what kind of structure or support is more likely to work for you.
Counselling may combine practical tools with deeper work around emotional patterns, relationships, self understanding, and the impact of years of feeling misunderstood.
In Person and Virtual Counselling
In person appointments are available at my downtown Vancouver office. Virtual counselling is available to clients in British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia.
